Physical Therapy
Most gyms are staffed only by personal trainers and members of the fitness industry, who are educated and insured to only deal with apparently healthy individuals. These are people with no known injuries, illnesses or history of illness and/or injury.
Our staff that are allocated to rehabilitation patients are all university trained exercise physiologists which means that they are all specifically trained to deal with all populations beyond the "Apparently Healthy" individuals.

Physical Therapy refers to the practice of providing exercise interventions that focus on the rehabilitation and management of musculoskeletal or medical conditions. We provide these interventions in conjunction with and under the advice of allied health professionals and medical professionals.
Our Physical Therapy programs include:
- Physiotherapy - We offer a unique physiotherapy experience where the expertise of our professional, manual accredited staff is complimented by our state of the art and comofortable surroundings. We provide a range of services including: manipulation, acupuncture, dry needling, cast application and removal, specialised splinting services, post surgery rehabilitation and the diagnosis and management of general musculoskeletal injuries. We also offer options of our open treatment area or private room facilities for your privacy. Workers compensation, third party claims, DVA and Medicare programs are supported at Physical Therapy Physiotherapy, as well as compassionate rates for senior and pensioner card holders.

- Therapeutic Massage Therapy - Our therapist is an University trained Naturopath and work cover accredited Remedial Massage Therapist. Massage therapy is not only appropriate for relaxation but many conditions can be relieved by via massage including stress, tense sore muscles, lumbar soreness and strains, neck pain and stiffness, injury prevention, post exercise recovery and reducing symptoms of repetitive strain injuries.

- Hydrotherapy - Hydrotherapy is a form of therapy conducted by qualified physiotherapists, hydrotherapists or exercise physiologists in an APA approved and regulated heated indoor pool. Our pool depth varies from 1.0m to 1.55m allowing for a greater range of activity programs and it's temperature is constantly maintained between 32 and 34˚C. Hydrotherapy has proved to be a beneficial treatment in many conditions including early rehabilitation, weight management without putting weighted forces on joints, osteoarthritis, lumbar spine pain, sports injuries, stroke rehabilitation and strength retraining.
- Podiatry - Podiatry services are provided by Nathan Wolhuter, an Australian leader in custom foot orthotic therapy, engineered footbeds and more traditional podiatry services. A validated, objective assessment of foot posture and gait analysis allows the best possible treatment and education to improve comfort and performance for each patient.

- Enhanced Primary Care Programs (EPC) - These are Medicare sponsored programs wher a patient receives a referral, for up to 5 visits per calander year, from their GP to our service for exercise interventions to assist with a designated chronic medical condition. The majority of the cost of the program is coverd by medicare, with a small gap fee. Chronic conditions can include diabetes, obesity, cardio-pulmonary conditions etc. We can offer a variety of home based or in-house based options for these clientele.

- Workers Comp & CTP Insurance - We provide functional restoration programs for patients injured whilst at work or on the road. Our programs are based specifically on the return to work or return to life needs of the patient, focusing on functional movements, activities, loads and stresses.

- Sporting Injuries & Conditions - We can provide exercise interventions to assist returning injured athletes and sporting people back to their sport and performing again. This includes acute traumas, post surgical rehabilitation chronic injuries and movement correction.

- Special Populations - These are any members of the population who would not be classified as apparently healthy, including the aged, the young, those with musculoskeletal and/or medical conditions.
