This means we are qualified and experienced in dealing with all types of clients, from those seeking special attention due to medical complications to elite level athletes.

Matthew Terentis - Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Matt began working at PT Gym and Physical Therapy in early 2015. Matt is an ESSA accredited exercise physiologist and has completed a bachelor degree in science majoring in exercise science and completed a masters degree in clinical exercise physiology. Matt has experience treating a wide range of chronic and complex conditions including musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neurological and metabolic, as well as fielding in mental health and aged care. Matt's passion lies in providing clients with exercise and rehabilitation programs tailored to their specific needs and interests. Matt continues to apply current evidence based practice to obtain the best outcomes for his clients whilst utilising the facilities fantastic multidisciplinary team environment.
Matt is also accredited with tennis australia as a qualified junior development tennis coach. He has obtained over 7 years of experience of coaching students ranging from ages 4 to 90 with abilities varying from beginner to elite level. Using his knowledge of strength, conditioning and biomechanics Matt has been successful in leading his many students to victory in various tennis competitions and tournaments in Australia. Matt is passionate about tennis and still continues to coach and participate in various tournaments and competitions.

Jessica Millar - Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Jess moved from rural NSW to further her studies at the University of Canberra, studying a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation, for 4 years. Moving to Wollongong was always a goal she kept in mind, living by the beach was something she has always wanted to do.
Jess is certified as a Sports Trainer and holds a Level 1 Strapping certification. She is an accredited Touch Football referee and a member of Sports Medicine Australia and Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
A recent sport’s studies tour in Northern America, consisting mainly of adventure sports, cemented the fact that she wanted to be in the sport and health area. A month working with a cardiac rehabilitation team showed that working as an Exercise Physiologist and making changes for those in need through education and exercise, was what she wanted to do.
Jess' interests are music, travelling, reading and a wide variety of sports particularly touch, soccer and oz-tag, representing NSW in Futsal for several years.

Cynthia Tanuwidjaya - Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Cynthia joined the PT Gym team in December, 2015. Cynthia is an ESSA accredited exercise physiologist and holds a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from the University of Wollongong. Cynthia has gained experience in a variety of context including Cardiac Rehab Clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital as well as Ryde Hospital where she developed skills to prescribe exercises to individuals following a cardiac surgical intervention as well as chronic cardiorespiratory conditions.
Cynthia has dealt with numerous musculoskeletal, neurologic and metabolic conditions through her university training and placement at a local private rehabilitation clinic. Cynthia has a keen interest in the Mental Health field leading her to seek further experience at South Coast Private Hospital.
As an Exercise Physiologist, Cynthia takes on an individualised, evidence based treatment for each client. She aims for the best treatment outcomes with each client.
Massage Therapy & Personal Training:
Cynthia is a qualified Massage Therapist having completed her Certificate IV in massage therapy at TAFE in the Beginning of 2015. Along with that, Cynthia has completed her Certificate IV in Personal Training and has had experience in the personal training field at the University of Wollongong Recreation and Aquatic Centre.
